Selecting a private High-School for your child can be a complex, emotional and seemingly difficult decision. To that end, we in advanced Academy wish to make it easier and more comfortable for you and your family. Here are some questions frequently asked by parents like you, who want to select the best.
Q. How successful is Advanced Academy to help students achieving their goals?

What makes Advanced Academy (ACE) so effective?
Every Advanced Academy (ACE) student takes our ACE Assessment which pinpoints your child's exact academic strengths and needs, or "skill gaps." The results of this diagnostic test allow our instructors to develop a personalized attention for your child and focus on those skills that need strengthening. Our caring teachers use a highly effective method of instruction with the emphasis on fixing the basis. With this type of instruction, students are taught to learn how to learn mastering the skill before the next level.
Q. How will I know that my child is really making progress?
The method of building confidence along side of the positive attitude has bee proven to be the most effective. By developing real leadership character in your child you would feel the differenced both at home and at school. Furthermore, to have a better communication between home and school, we provide a monthly report on the progress of your child. As well as regularly discuss how your child is advancing through the individualized.
Q. How much is the tuition?
Program pricing will vary, because we customize our instruction to meet the specific needs of your child, as indicated on the results of the Sylvan Skills Assessment®. The components that make up the total cost of an in-center or online tutoring program include: program length, tutoring subjects, hourly instruction cost and the payment schedule that best fits your family's needs.
Q. What are the minimum requirements to apply to Canadian universities?
Students wishing to go to university must have a high school diploma and a proficiency in English, or at least 4 full years of attendance in Canadian High-schools. Most universities require six Grade 12 courses at University Preparation Level. Grade 12 English and Grade 12 mathematics (Advanced Functions, Calculus) are among the most popular courses. Usually there is no specific entrance examination.
Q. What is the provincial Secondary School Literacy Test?
Students must successfully complete the provincial Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test in order to earn a secondary school diploma. The test will be marked by the Education Quality Office (EQAO). The test will be administered in Grade 10 and it is based on the Ontario curriculum expectations for reading and writing that have been identified across the curriculum up to and including Grade 9.
The results of the Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test will be reported as complete or incomplete. Students who receive an incomplete will be given clear feedback regarding their performance in order to help them address the areas where improvement is required. Students who are not initially successful will be allowed to retake the test.
Q. When am I eligible to take literacy course?
Students who have been eligible to write the OSSLT at least twice and who have been unsuccessful at least once are eligible to take the course. (Students who have already met the literacy requirement for graduation may be eligible to take the course under special circumstances, at the discretion of the principal.)

Yes, you can take your test in Advanced Academy. EQAO will send us the required material and we held the test in our center. For more info you may contact our admission office.
